REIKI Treatments with Eve

We are excited to add this to our menu of services in our Medford location with our Massage Therapist, Eve. Eve has received Reiki training at the John Harvey Grey Center for Reiki healing, one of the most acclaimed schools of Reiki in America.

What is Reiki? "Reiki" (pronounced "ray-key"), is the Japanese word for "Universal Life Energy." An ancient healing art, Reiki is a simple method of hands-on healing developed in the 1920's by Dr. Mikao Usui. This healing energy flows through the hands of the practitioner and into the person being treated, enhancing and accelerating the natural healing processes in the body. Reiki works with the chakra system to restore balance and harmony - and it promotes relaxation.

Reiki is based on the idea that an unseen life force energy flows through us and is what causes us to be alive. If one's life force energy is low, then we are more likely to get sick or feel stress, and if it is high, we are more capable of being happy and healthy. Anyone can benefit from a Reiki treatment, and it is often a great method to use on injuries or conditions (physical or mental) which cannot be treated through massage. Reiki treatments can be done either on their own, with the patient fully clothed, or incorporated into a massage treatment session.

Reiki is effective on all types of conditions, but works especially well on acute (less than 3 days old) injuries.
